Did you know that Africans can now visit Nigeria Visa Free come 2020? This announcement was made by the President, Muhammadu Buhari,  in Egypt, on Wednesday this week! You know what that means right? 😉 #Africanstraveltoo

“Starting January 2020, Africans will be able to arrive in Nigeria receiving Visas on arrival” the President said at the ongoing Aswan Forum, according to Ambassador Ahmed Awad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somali

Come 2020, when the  new policy is implemented, Nigeria will also join Kenya, Ethiopia etc. as countries which have the visa on arrival policies for all African nationals.

The Comptroller General, Nigerian Immigration Service, Mr Muhammad Babandede, disclosed that this policy is very timely. “The tool is actually coming at the right time. AFIC would help African countries especially Nigeria that want to open its border for all Africans to enter at will. And now that tool is available, it would make the work easier for us,” he said.

How cool with it be if other African countries adopt visa-free or visa on arrival policies for all African passport holders. I could wake up today get a ticket to fly straight to Cape Verde. Ayeeee!

Great initiative!
